It felt pretty complete to me, maybe because I felt like the story is about Mel-and-Cathy and although she still was incredibly not happy about it, by the end she was able to accept that Cathy had the right to make her own decisions. (Contrast this with the beginning where Mel is literally pulling her out of traffic, like a toddler's mom.) I'd read the hell out of a sequel but I feel like this one ended right where it needed to. I agree that Mel has a long way to go, but she at least started.Bibliovorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08642058689885973447noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3726665.post-43058580763709734732014-06-09T15:12:34.641-07:002014-06-09T15:12:34.641-07:00I so wish that the sequel to this one had been wri...I so wish that the sequel to this one had been written, because as it is it reads like half a book to me. I reread it recently and was really struck by this sense of an incomplete story--Mel has only barely begun to change. Oh well. Maureen Ehttp://bysinginglight.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
