About the Bibliovore

About Me
By day, a youth services librarian in Arizona. By night, a voracious reader. Oh, let's face it, a voracious reader by day, too. .

About This Blog
This blog focuses on middle grade and YA novels. It's all about books I've loved, books that made me smile, laugh, cry, and think. It also contains kidlit news and opinions. Lots of opinions. All opinions expressed are my own and do not represent those of any organization or employer. It's all me, baby.

See my other blog, Kid Tested, Librarian Approved, for easy readers and picture books.

About the Books
I like a lot of different books. Some of my favorite themes or genres are:

Retellings - folk tales, fairy tales, or myths retold as novels.
Books about faith - not Christian fiction or didactic "this is what your religion is all about" but books that feature a child or teen grappling with faith and/or religion as a central point of the plot. It need not be Christian or Western religion, either.
Romance - what can I say? I'm a sucker for a good love story.

My tastes range far and wide, but these are things that will most often get me to pick up a book. I also like fantasy, dystopia, historical, paranormal, and some realistic novels.
